On Monday, December 3rd, the shop launches the season with a Holiday Open House. Barbara-jo and the staff have decked the halls and - if anyone feels like playing an impromptu carol or two - the shop's piano is waiting for you. Drop by for a visit between 6-8 PM. You'll find a few Yuletide treats to kickstart your holiday spirit along with a wide selection of books for that special cook on your list. In honour of the season, Barbara-jo's French Apple Press has created Books to Cookies ($13.95) A colourful holiday pamphlet that features the staff's favourite cookie recipes. Because who doesn't like a good cookie - or three - over the holidays.
