Eat-A-Bug

Entomophagy (bug-eating) is not uncommon in many cultures. In North America, however, people are recently becoming more interested in the practice as they are looking for alternative food sources as discussed in this article in the Globe and Mail.

Find out more about entomophagy at our Getting Buggy event on Wednesday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m. Naturalist David George Gordon and Meeru Dhalwala of Vij's will guide guests through the world of entomophagy. Meeru will prepare a menu of arthropods including crickets, grasshoppers and prawns. David will enlighten guests with his new book, The Eat-a-Bug Cookbook. Tickets are $90.
