Eating Up UBC Farm

The battle to save UBC Farm from development is in full charge. On September 22nd Barbara-Jo's Books to Cooks and Farmstead Wines joined forces with The Centre for Sustainable Food Systems to initiate a dinner fundraiser for the Save the Farm Campaign. Our farm patrons met at the UBC Farm for wine and phenomenal appetizers made with ingredients straight from the grounds.

After a farm tour, the patrons each drew a card from a hat which read the name of the Vancouver restaurant in which they would dine that evening. Cru, La Quercia, Gastropod, West and Fuel donated dinner for six to help preserve the important agricultural lands at UBC.

Now you can do something to help preserve UBC Farm. The Friends of the Farm are asking concerned Vancouverites to help brainstorm options to protect the farm in its current size and capacity. This is a chance for you to engage in a stimulating dialogue that is working towards determining a fair solution to preserving the farm. If interested, sign up for one of these consultation events:
