Friday Night Dinners
On Friday, November 21, Barbara-Jo's Books to Cooks was transformed into a cozy family dining room when we hosted
Bonnie Stern and her latest book,
Friday Night Dinners. Bonnie warmed up the room with stories about her own friday night dinners with family and friends. She also gave helpful pointers and ideas about how to entertain on a weeknight.
Chef Adrienne O'Callaghan and Bonnie cooked up some favourites such as North African Spiced Chicken Skewers with Tahina Sauce, Mini-Gougeres with Creamy Scrambled Eggs and Friday Night Brisket. The evening was topped off with delectable Really Easy Chocolate Cupcakes.
Signed copies of Friday Night Dinners are available at both of our shops and would be a great spring board to cooking up your own friday night dinners for friends and family.
