I wonder if Delia Smith drinks CRANBERRY-GINGER PUNCH.

Tonight we celebrated Christmas.  Yet again, Adrienne O'Callaghan cooked a fine meal from Delia's Happy Christmas.  This year for the first time, we presented Roast Goose stuffed with Apples & Prunes in Armagnac.      The evening began with Pianist Paul Keeling playing Christmas carols, and I made a punch.  The recipe came from Punch Bowls and Pitcher Drinks by Jeanne Kelley & Sarah Tenaglia.

 

Cranberry-Ginger Punch   -  Serves 8.  People asked for seconds.

1 1/4 cups Gin

1 - 12 ounce can frozen cranberry juice cocktail concentrate ( I used a jar of Cranberry Pomegranate juice)

2/3 cup fresh lime juice

2 teaspoons grated peeled fresh ginger

3 cups chilled sparkling water

Mix together, add ice-cubes if desired, I made cranberry and lime cubes, meant to put cranberries in, but forgot.
