Recently, Daniel Patterson - the proprietor of San Francisco's celebrated Coi restaurant - paid a visit to the shop's Sunday Supper series.  Daniel was here to chat about his new cookbook. A gorgeous volume of reminiscences titled: Coi: Stories and Recipes. He was joined by three Vancouver chefs - West's Quang Dang, The Pear Tree's Scott Jaeger and Andrew Richardson of Cin-CIn - who delighted in putting their own spin on some of Daniel's favourite recipes.      

As Daniel explained, he was pleased and flattered to be part of this collaborative process. While his fellow chefs prepared an elegant menu based on his recipes and pitched in with their own stories, he chatted about his life as a restauranteur and the influence of California-inspired cuisine. The result was was an evening to savour.
